Working people didn't create this economic crisis, but across the country we're being asked to pay for it.
While the banks get bailed out and dodge taxes (2/3 of US corporations don't pay income taxes), draconian cuts to public services are being made at the state and federal level.
Most of these cuts actually make up a pittance of state and federal deficits, while corporate tax dodging costs the country billions in tax revenue.
If we pay our taxes, why shouldn't they?
JP Morgan not only received the largest portion of the bank bailouts, but it used that money to invest and expand rather than to free up credit and loans. Now, banks like JP Morgan Chase add insult to injury by continuing to prey on tax loopholes and use offshore tax havens while working Americans are left to pick up the tab!
This is not our crisis and we will not pay for it!
